A member asked:

Had general ct scan for stomach done ---one result for bladder was mild wall thickening may relate to cystitis or chronic bladder outlet obstruction .. i am urinating ok and no pain ... 72 years old .. should i be concerned ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the findings you described are not a cause for concern about your bladder, but the hypertrophy warrants evaluation by a urologist to assess your prostate. Wish you good health!
