It's most often benign unless you have history of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) or you have symptoms of carcinoid syndrome. Duodenal cancer is extremely uncommon. Almost all gastrointestinal cancers happen outside of the small bowel, such as in your colon, esophagus, stomach, and pancreas. Duodenal polyp should be managed individually and endoscopic resection is somewhat risky at this area.
