No more than any....: No more than any other implant. There has to be a scar to place the implant. Silicone implants can require larger incisions because they are pre-filled so it depends on the size of the implant.

Depends: Silicone gel breast implants can be inserted via an axillary incision, and this would leave a scar in me armpit. Other incisions commonly used are around the areola and underneath the breast in the breast crease, and these do leave scars on the breast.

Breast Aug Scars: Scars from silicone breast implants are determined by the location of the incisions which include the following choices: 1. At the lower border of the areola (periareolar approach) 2. By the lower breast crease (inframammary crease) 3. In the armpit (axillary approach) 4. Through the tummy if a tummy tuck is performed at the same time.

Breast Implant Scars: In order to place a breast implant one must make a incision to place the implant into the pocket. The incisions and resulting scars are designed to be in aesthetic locations. The incisions are placed in the crease under the breast (inframammary), at the junction of the color change of the areola and the breast skin (periareolar), or in the armpit (transaxillary).
