Maybe, maybe not...: This is a complicated question: it depends on the surgeon. Some surgeons perform only cosmetic nasal surgery, some only reconstructive, some both. Maybe: Some of us do both cosmetic and reconstructive rhinoplasty, while some surgeons do only one or the other. Check with your surgeon of choice. Make sure to treat both appearance and function equally importantly!

Maybe: Some surgeons routinely do the three main categories of nasal surgery [cosmetic (for appearance improvement), functional (to improve the nasal airway and breathing) and reconstructive (to restore the form or shape of the nose)] but many do not. You need to ask questions to find out whether your selected surgeon is comfortable with treatment of and has experience with your condition.
