Weakness of muscles: After being in a cast your muscles develop some atrophy from being immobilized. You should do strengthing exercises for your leg and ankle.

Stiffness,: Lack of range of. Option, possible nerve compression can all be reasons. Once, you start to place the foot through range of motion, restrengthen the foot, this pain should start to reduce.
