Get repeat exam: You should get a repeat exam by an orthopaedic surgeon and new xrays of your ankle to evaluate for the possibility of posttraumatic arthritis.

Fracture: Yes it will be hurting you, because bones did not align properly. You need to speak with an orthopedic specialist to see if it is possible to have orif (open reduction and internal fixation) done to pu a screw in at this point.

Pain in ankle: It would be best to see an orthopaedic surgeon and get new x-rays. You may have a condition which will require surgical treatment.
