A member asked:

Can sleeping with contacts in damage my eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Most types of contact lenses are not meant to be worn at night. Determine if yours are the type that can (extended wear). Even still your eye membranes are supposed to have time to breath and your eyes should be open. Most people don't sleep this way and even if they did you would need to keep blinking which you don't control during sleep. Dry eyes can damage the delicate membranes.
