Eye really red after sleeping with contacts so what now?

Contact lenses: I have a strong opinion against sleeping in contact lenses , having seen numerous patients with serious corneal problems afterwards. You should immediately take your contact lenses out (carefully) and see your eye care professional. You may use copious preservative-free artificial tears in the meantime.

Don't wear: Best not to wear contacts to bed if they are irritating your eyes. If they are the kind that you are supposed to be able to wear maybe they are defective in some way and you should throw them out and start with a fresh pair.

Red eye: I would not put your contact back in and call your eye doctor asap. This could eye irritation due to contact lenses, a bacterial infection, or something else altogether.
