OK to sit on hand: Cutting off blood flow to an extremity (arm, hand, leg) can be painful but usually not serious unless prolonged more than 1-2 hours. In orthopedic surgery tourniquets are used for prolonged periods of time without long term effects.

Sat on hand/pain: Yes it will, you can not stop the circulation completely by sitting on your hand.Of corse it may hurt for a short period, but it will all heal quickly.
