Alcohol=sugar: Alcohol is the same as sugar in your body. After consuming any type of sugar, your body produces insulin, the storage hormone of sugar/carbs, to process and store all of that fuel. So, the more you drink, the more Insulin your body must produce to handle this extra sugar fuel, so once you stop drinking, chances are, your body will have produced too much insulin, so you will eat to compensate.
