Mallory Weiss Tear: Mallory-Weiss syndrome is a gastro-esophageal laceration,occuring in 3-15% person with UGI Bleed. ,Occurs after a prolonged or forceful bout of retching. Sudden increased pressure within the non distensiible lower esophagus causes tearing. It is most common between ages of 30 and 50 years, Excessive ETOH ingestion, Gastroenteritis, Hyper emesis gravidarum, and Bulimia are risk factors
