Consider surgery.: If you are having repeated rupture of varicose veins, i would consider seeking a surgical solution. There a many newer remedies for these that are effective. See your pcp or a surgeon or interventional radiologist who specializes in this and is reputable.

See a vein specialis: Recurrent hemorrhage from varicose veins should be addressed. Bleeding from varicose veins is caused by high pressure within the varicose vein caused by malfunction of valves within the veins. This condition can be readily treated by a vein specialist/phlebologist.

See vascular surgeon: Go see a vascular surgeon to be evaluated. Bleeding from varicose veins is a problem that needs attention. There are many treatment options available and most don't entail surgery. Make sure to find a board certified vascular surgeon (check www.Certificationmatters.Org) and be very careful to avoid vein clinics that don't have trained vascular surgeons on staff.

Seek treatment: If you have had four episodes of varicose veins bleeds, it is time to fix the problem, as dr. Nielsen said. Make an appointment to see a vein specialist for an evaluation.
