START w ASPS/ASAPS: Websites. Put your zip in. Any member should be competent. I strongly recommend not using someone who is not a member or is eligible to be in one of these organizations. , I will frequently ask former patients to contact potential patients to share their experience with them. Website: While you may look at the individual surgeon's website, the american society of plastic surgery or the american society for aesthetic plastic surgery are good places to start. Also, it does help to review websites where the doctor is reviewed by fellow patients.

Internet & referrals: You can try their website and youtube. Google search and see if there are any other sites they may have before and after photos on. You can also go to a consultation and ask to see before and after photos. Medical professionals and former patients are other great sources.

Many Resources.: I would suggest starting with the american society of plastic surgery and/or the aesthetic society of plastic surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. then, i would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate him on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures.

Pictures: Most surgeons will usually show their "best work" on their websites. This is a good place to start. If they have an extensive portfolio of before and after, try and find a body type similar to yours to try and get a better of idea of what kind of result to expect. Word of mouth referral is always important and make sure you see a plastic surgeon.

Do your homework: You should schedule a couple consultations with plastic surgeons that are certified by the american board of plastic surgery. View their before and after images, which are often on their website or in the office. Then chose the one that you are most comfortable with. http://www.dassmd.com/breast-augmentation/index.html.
