I got an iud put in about a month ago and i now have mild back pain (on the lower/middle right side) when i sleep. could the two be related?

Not likely: It is not uncommon to have some spotting and cramping after iud insertion. Your onset of back pain is not likely to be related to the iud since it has been a month before the symptom started. It is also unusual to have the symptom only when you sleep. However, the relationship between the two cannot be totally ruled out. See your doctor if the symptom persists.

Possibly: Some people experience pain in different places from iuds. If it gets really bad talk to your dr.
