Talk with doc: Some pts develop anxiety when they use Ritalin (methylphenidate) (mph). This may be due to comorbid anxiety disorder (very common in adhd pts) or due to the use of other stimulants with it (caffeine, chocolate, decongestants). Sometimes its how the mph is delivered to the body - rapidly/slowly that causes the anxiety. Sometimes its at offset. All of these issues should be discussed with the prescribing doctor.
