It depends: Liposuction can be a very effective and relatively simple procedure for improving the chin and neck contour, generally in a younger patient with mostly a fatty component to the area but with reasonable skin elasticity.

Depends on surgeon: There are many different options for treating the area under the chin and neck. Liposuction is one option that can provide excellent results in the right patient and with the right surgeon. There are many doctors who are not trained in plastic surgery or dermatology who have "gotten into the liposuction business". Make sure your surgeon has taken more than a weekend course.

Great: The results can be awesome if you really are a good candidate for the procedure - good skin tone and excess fat around the neck. You also should make a good choice in your surgeon. Go to an experienced plastic surgeon, dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon. Stay away from bargain basement prices and stick with experience, personalized service. Best of luck. Be well.

Usually good: When done by the qualified surgeon for the right reasons the results are quite good.

Usually excellent, : That is if the skin tone is good. If the skin is loose, this will hasten the need to do a facelift to rid one of the excess skin. If one's skin is able to 'snap back', the results can be fabulous.
