Great: The benefits are many. A huge one is decreased chance of injury by overtraining one area. Depending on the routines and the end goal, there can be some carryover. You have a chance to rest the action of some muscles while training others. These will often complement each other. Less boring, so likelihood of staying with it is greater. Dynamic muscle training is far more appropriate for daily life.

Injury prevention: is by far the most widely recognized benefit of cross-training. Also to improve fitness, promote recovery, enhance motivation, rejuvenate the mind and body, just to name a few. Good luck.
