Not infrequently.: A neuroma in the foot is called a morton's neuroma. Compression of the forefoot together at the level of the metatarsal head will trigger a burning pain, tingling or numbness and assist in the diagnosis. Resolution of the symptoms can be easily achieved with convervative measures in most cases.
