Yes: You never know in advance until you get it. Perhaps this is the reason why most patients have many years of delay between onset of fibromyalgia to correct diagnosis. If you are not sure, it is best to mention to your doctor.

Yes: Fibromyalgia can develop in anyone but usually adults and usually adult women who outnumber men 8:1.

Yes: Females have fibromyalgia (FM) more frequently than males because pelvises more delicate & exposed to childbirth. Loose pelvices stress entire body tower of ligaments, muscles, tendons, & fascia; causing chronic spasms & trigger point peripheral pain generators. Women with Hypermobility Syndrome particularly prone to develop subluxing pelvises. Hypermobility inherited & is FM familial connection.
