Yes, some.: The fetal/neonatal brain has enough plasticity to allow for mild/moderate porencephalic cases to function at an acceptable level after a long and hard road to recovery. Lissencephaly and holoprosencephaly are developmental disorders of the brain anatomy and usually are manifested with recalcitrant seizures, profound neurodevelopmental delay and limitations to independent living.
