my baby has lissencephaly. could his seizures be causing memory loss? he seems like he's forgotten how to cry. instead he makes noises but not crying.

Could well be: Repeated seizures can result in memory problems. In addition, the period after the seizure (post ictal) is characterized by a diminished mental status. Sorry for your child's' ailment.
