A member asked:

What is a lytic lesion (right ilium,) and why after finding on ct do they want mri?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lytic lesion: This is a lesion in which the bone is being destroyed. This is typical for cancers that spread to bone. Such cancers include multiple myeloma, breast, thyroid, lung and kidney. There are a few reasons to seek MRI - best to check with your doc as I would simply be speculating.
