Yes it is: Latuda (lurasidone) is one of the newer meds that falls under atypical antipsychotic. It and other meds in that class are generally used in bipolar disorder, which has many variations. It may also be used to control "mood' swings even if there is not an official diagnosis of bipolar disorder. It may be used alone or in conjunction with a med for depression.
