Divided doses: buspirone is a relatively short acting drug which is taken at least twice daily, and in some people requires three times a day treatment, and rarely even four times a day. The side effects, mainly dizziness, lightheadedness and headache, go up with higher doses so you should NOT take 30 mg at once, but rather 10 mg three times/day or 15 mg twice a day.
