Dosing for Buspirone: Buspirone (buspar) is an anti anxiety medication which can be prescribed in doses ranging from 10 to 60 mg, or if necessary up to 90 mg a day. It is well tolerated if taken with food, and every 4 to 6 hours apart. The most effective dosing protocol is taking up to 20 mg three times a day, and or at bedtime. The response depends on each individual and the severity of the condition.
