A member asked:

I want to start taking zoloft (sertraline) 25 mg that my doctor prescribed but i am highly nervous of seritonin syndrome. how can i avoid that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Watch for signs: There is no way to predict or prevent serotonin syndrome. But you can stop the drug and intermediately report these signs/symptoms that usually begin within several hours of starting Zoloft: heavy sweating, headache, loss of muscle coordination, muscle twitching, restlessness/agitation, rapid heart rate and high blood pressure and dilated pupils. Hope that helps.
