Accidently chewed my 25mg zoloft (sertraline) this am. am i at risk for serotonin syndrome? next am half (12.5mg) or 25mg? don't want to absorb too much serotonin.

No Serotonin Syndrom: Hey Lauren, You are not at risk for serotonin syndrome. Serotonin syndrome occurs when you have too much serotonin, typically from high doses of serotonin medications or from multiple medications that increase serotonin. The burning/numb sensation is most likely due to the loss of the pill coating and your tongue/mouth being exposed to unbuffered medication.

Nope: At that low of a dose, should be no problem at all ... Unless you're taking a lot of other serotonergic medications. Hope that helps!
