A member asked:

Been with my psychiatrist >1yr, she's been generous w/ time, we've tried 3 ads. should i feel i should count my bless. & settle for partial response?

Don't settle: There are many AD's on the market you haven't yet tried, and using them in combination is the forte of psychiatrists. The typical rule is to make sure there's an adequate dose and duration for each one, and push the dose a bit on each one before determining it isn't effective. Augmenting agents such as Abilify (aripiprazole) and Seroquel have been FDA approved for treatment resistant depression.
