A member asked:

How does the psychiatrist actually feel when patient isn't responding well to 3 antidepressants? worried about being a headache patient, a hard case.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not your fault: the psychiatrist may feel frustrated - but not at you. The fear I always get when a patient had failed multiple medicines - correction: when the medicines failed the patient - is that I hope the patient doesn't just say "forget it" and stop trying med options. May I also strongly suggest concurrent treatment with counseling?
