Not cancer: cancer by definition is the presence of a mass growing in the breast tissue. It is almost always pain free and associtated with a firm lesion on palpation. Pain in the inframammary crease is associated with fibrous mastopathy due to fluid pressure within the ductal system of the breast. One must, if not already performed within the past 6 months to year have a mammographic exam.

See MD: Sometimes a small lump cannot be felt, but can be picked up on mammography. It's always best to be safe than sorry, so it's better to find out before a lump appears. I don't know your age, but if you are young it could be fibrocystic syndrome also, but this is best determined by your doctor after a thorough history and physical.
