Not necessarily: Hemorrhoidal bleeding is usually painless. Generally pain is associated with hemorrhoid thrombosis (clotting).

Blood in stool: i presume your doctor did an exam? Hemorrhoids are internal and external. The external are the painful itchy ones typically. Internal not so much. Even when I suspect an internal hemorrhoid I have to consider some type of visualization in the future. Flexible sigmoidoscopy vs colonoscopy in the future. If the bleeding continues please don't ignore it.
