Have seen doc & she confirmed i have an external hemorrhoid. i went to the restroom and when wiped there was a blobish looking small amount of blood. happened only the 1st time wiping. should i worry?

Not worry, but: Be gentle with that hemorrhoid until it has a chance to shrink or disappear. Wipe gently, and dab with moistened towelette after bm's. Make sure you eat veggies & fiber, with lots of water to keep your stool soft. Constipation will make bleeding more likely. Ask your doctor whether she thinks some preparation h or other topical treatment would help. Sitz baths may help too.
