Could be: Symptoms usually occur 4-6 days after exposure so it's possible. Could just be a non mono sore throat. Nearly all humans acquire EBV infection at some point in their lives. Interestingly it may be a majority that get it as children. They are then immune. This explains why the kissing disease only affects some people who kiss.
