A member asked:

Ive had a sore throat for 7 weeks. 4 weeks ago i had white spots on my tonsils. i also have had green mucus. its not strep throat. this happened immediately after i kissed someone new. a dr. on here said mono but i thought mono took months to show?

Can be tested: While it is true mono will take months to show, your "immediate" label is confusing. It would suggest an allergic response rather than a disease which would take a day or more at least. For it to last this long suggests you now have mono. The condition can be confirmed by blood tests.
