Blood pressure is 190/105. i'm on lossartan @100mg. i start metoprolol tonight @100mg. is this to high a dose? what should i do??

Htn: It is a high dose but so is your blood pressure. You will probably need another medication in the future like hydralazine or nitrates. Metoprolol initial dose of 100 mg may be high but not sure if this was your increase after visit. Your doctor likely has a reason for this and by looking at your vitals I wouldnt be too concerned. Decrease Salt intake, exercise and losing weight also help. Best C

Depends: depends on so many factors. A careful face to face eval with a health care pro should clarify that this is the correct dose. its not too high for most
