A member asked:

I'm on metoprolol 50 mg and my blood pressure for the past 6 months is less than 130/85 should i reduce the dose to 25 mg?

It would be prudent to consult the doctor who prescribed the medication. It is not a good idea to change the dose without consulting the doctor who knows more about your health.

Not necessarily, your current prescriber would be best to make further recommendations based on goals for taking metoprolol, current readings, symptoms associated, etc.
