What does a low blood glucose mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Danger: There are several potential causes for hypoglycemia (low blood glucose). It may mean overproduction of Insulin (from a variety of sources); excessive Insulin or other agents to treat diabetes; may be due to addison's disease (inadequate production of steroids); genetic metabolic deficiencies; starvation; and other factors. Any value below 70 mg/dl is considered low and may create symptoms.
