Over treatment: The most common cause of low blood sugar in a diabetic is overtreatment with diabetes medications (either you give Insulin and didn't eat or eat enough, or you started doing more activity beyond what you usually do). If this is a consistent problem, make sure you talk to your doctor to get your treatment regimen reevaluated.
