A member asked:

Do all palpitations show up on a ekg? besides pvcs and pacs are normal palpitations an arrhythmia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bumps In The Night: An EKG takes only one minute so you're "lucky" (I guess) to find any. If the doctor is really concerned he'll put you on a constant monitor (that you carry around with you) for from 2 to 14 or so days. He'll also ask you to keep a record of any symptoms you feel during that time. Ordinarily it's not worrisome to have a few PVCs or PACs a day unless you have bad symptoms or they fit certain patterns
