A member asked:

What are the demographics of hip replacement surgery patients?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Changing: When first introduced, hip replacement was people over 65. As the prosthesis and our surgical knowledge have improved, we have been able to successfully get good long term results. This has allowed us to provide hip replacements for very young, in their thirties, and active patients with destroyed and painful hips.
