Yes if transient: Mild discomfort and pain following biopsy can be expected but if it is significant and does not taper off soon, you need to check back with your doctor

My upper endoscopy of stomach showed reactive gastritis on biopsy. Next biopsy 8 months later showed slight linear erosion but biopsy came back 'within normal limits'. What does this mean? Has the reactive gastritis resolved?
