Paronychia/Onychia: It sounds like you have an infection. Most likely, a paronychia/onychia, which is an infected ingrown toenail, the most common cause of toe infections. If you are Diabetic or in any way immune-compromised, get to a doctor immediately. If you are not, the infection could still be serious, and you should seek attention ASAP.
