Osteomyelitis : Bone infection or osteomyelitis can happen due to different causes, stepping on rusty nail can do it, or if you are diabetic any foot sores, abrasions or wounds can go deeper into tissues and get into the bones due to lower immune response, and vascular changes from high blood sugars. In any case if it's a bone infection, you can lose your foot unless it is treated properly, make sure you go to dr.
