It : It is possible you have paronychia, which is an infection of the area around the nail (nail fold). This would typically require an antibiotic to eliminate the infection. I hope that helps!

Probable infection: This sounds like you have an infection. This is especially common next to the nail. I recommend you have this medically assessed.
