Croup: Cold night air can be soothing in cases of croup. Bundle the child up so they don't get cold but let them breath in the cooler air. It may or may not help but it's always worth a try.

Croup: For many years we have recommended cool mist humidification for croup. If the stridor( the deep wheeze on breathing in) gets worse, we will suggest taking the child outside to breathe in the cool night air while being wrapped in a warm blanket. If not effective then i suggest going into the bathroom and steaming the child. @ tsp of honey can be soothing to the throat and aid in settling the cough
