My 3 year old daughter develops a croup cough every 2 to 3 months. worse when she goes to bed and when she wakes up. coughs so badly that she vommits.

Needs eval: There is an entity called spasmodic croup that acts like this, but it is rare. The more worrisome idea to me is she may be silently bringing food up from the stomach which enters her airway & starts this pattern. If so it could eventually lead to a bad pneumonia or lung damage. I would have her evaluated by an ENT.
