Discuss with doctor: Azithromycin alone can induce second degree heart block in some patients, and so its use prophylactically might be questionable. Would call and discuss this with either your cardiologist or the doctor who performed the abortion. Doxycycline is another alternative, but there are also rare cases of 2nd degree block reported with this. Good luck and best wishes.
