QT interval: As you know, azithromycin can prolong the QT interval raising the danger of dangerous ventricular arrhythmias. If you have no way of monitoring your QT interval if you take azythromycin, ask your physician to prescribe an antibiotic from a different class. If you can monitor your QT carefully, in my opinion, you could take azithromycin safely.
