A member asked:

I have got basedow when i was 16 years old. could you please tell me how to treat it....is it the best way for treatment by l131 or others way? thanks

See your specialist: I131 is a common, effective way for treating Graves (Basedow) disease of the thyroid. It cannot be done during pregnancy, & usually results in hypothyroidism - you'll have to take a daily thyroid hormone pill. Alternatively, antithyroid meds (methimazole, propothiouricil) block thyroid hormone production. Also, beta blockers relieve heart palpitation & muscle tremor symptoms. See your specialist.
