A 31-year-old member asked:

is oligospermia(low sperm count) treatable by homeopathy treatment?

No: Best treated by a urologist + fertility clinic. In mean time don't smoke and avoid xs alcohol.
Dr. Khurram Rehman
Fertility Medicine 26 years experience
No, but harmless: There are no good randomized clinical studies, where half of a group of men get homeopathic treatment and half get a placebo (fake treatment). Sperm counts change from month to month so if you take a baby Aspirin a day & get a better sperm count the 2nd time is it due to the aspirin? One small study of homeopathy for sperm problems had no placebo group. Expect no side effects, unknown if benefits.

What will happen to sperm after they're ejaculated into a woman who's had a full hysterectomy?

Dr. Kevin Fleishman
Obstetrics and Gynecology 31 years experience
Spill out and die: After a full hysterectomy, the vagina ends in a blind sac. Therefore the sperm will collect in the vagina, die and eventually spill out of the vagina.

Is it possible that a prostate infection killed all my sperm?

No: A prostate infection is an infection in the prostate gland. Sperm are made in the testicles and would not be affected by a prostate infection.

Does premature ejaculation cause low sperm count?

2 doctor answers6 doctors weighed in
Dr. Marvalyn DeCambre
Urology 24 years experience
No: It does not. Premature ejaculation is just that premature. It does not have any impact on the quantity of sperm. It may however have impact on fertility, which requires the sperm connecting to the egg-in this case timing is everything.

If I masturbate in a swimming pool could my sperm swim up a random woman and get her pregnant?

3 doctor answers8 doctors weighed in
Dr. George Klauber
Specializes in Pediatric Urology
No: Sperm will die in the swimming pool water. Only way for a woman to get pregnant in a swimming pool is to have sex in the water.
Dr. Nicholas Fogelson
Specializes in Gynecology
I answered this one before. My answer was that this is disgusting and you should not do it. Masturbating in privacy outside of a swimming pool will also not a woman pregnant, and is far less nasty.

A 48-year-old member asked:

Is that site that connects genetic siblings from same donor sperm a good thing to use if curious?

2 doctor answers4 doctors weighed in
Dr. Anthony Balcom

Genetic Sibs, Donor: The question may be better phrased as: "do genetic siblings from donor sperm want to know each other, on is it better to preserve anonynmity?" these type of "siblings" would be half-sibs, and may not even know that they are the product of donor sperm, so i would suggest very careful use of information like this, and discourage it.
